Microgaming Releases four New Online Slots in February 2009

Microgaming, long the leader in online slots, has come out with a number of interesting new slot machines in February of 2009. These releases are part of the online slots releases that Microgaming has been doing on a monthly basis for years now and their releases every month are usually eagerly anticipated by a gaming community that as a whole has given Microgaming technology a thorough inspection and overall has been satisfied at what it sees. Having gone through that particular baptism, Microgaming can now release online slots on a monthly basis that have a guaranteed player base almost from the time they come onto the market.

In recent times, Microgaming has pursued a different strategy when it comes to the release of its monthly new online slots. Usually, they will release some online slots that are normal in terms of their typical pattern and these slots will then be added to their already formidable collection of online slots. However, the other machines that are released into the market of online slot machines will be innovative in some way, shape or form. Microgaming, having coming through the worst of the online gambling slump, now feels justified in experimenting a bit with some of their online slots releases and as long as they keep the good Microgaming machines coming at the same time as the experiments, there appears to be little to no downside for this particular way of doing things.

Case in point on this particular issue would be AWP, one of the normal online slots that Microgaming released in the month of February. This, along with Track and Fieldmouse as well as Bearly Fishing, are the three slot machines that represent the addition to the database of new Microgaming themes that are created with the same randomization and general dynamics as the best of their video online slots. For this reason, these online slots were received warmly, but ultimately did not receive the same amount of media attention as the fourth slot machine.

This final machine is Burning Desire, a name that already sparks a lot of mental imagery in anyone that reads it in their minds. However, it is not the name or the artwork on this slot machine that garners the attention of the press, but rather the innovative no pay line approach of the machine. With no pay lines, winning combinations are possible so long as each of the five reels is involved in creating the combination. With pay line restrictions removed, Burning Desire has over 200 different winning combinations and very likely represents the future of online slots insofar as Microgaming is concerned.
